Headrig saws are designed for processing round logs of small and medium diameters into sawn timber of a user-programmed target thickness using circular saws mounted on two arbors. The scrag circular mills allows you to produce a two-sided cant, two slabs and two two-edged boards in one pass.The maximum number of circular saw blades mounted on the upper and lower arbors cannot exceed 4 pieces on each one. The workpiece is fed by a sharp chain conveyor with smooth speed regulation. Scragg saws are easy in operation, have small dimensions and low power consumption, and allow to reduce the amount of waste during sawing.Scragg saws have high power and high sawing speed, they are indispensable for sawing logs with a diameter of 100 to 450 mm. The use of the scragg saw is possible both autonomously and as part of primary sawing lines. As standard, the machine is equipped with 3 motors: with a power of two main motors 20 kW-63 kW and feefing motor power 2.2-4,0 kW.
Multi rip saws:
Multi-rip saws are used for longitudinal cutting with circular saw blades of cants (boards) received after log processing on a bandsaw mill or a circular headrig mill into edged lumber.The thickness of the lumber at the exit depends on the distance of the spacers between the saws. In double shaft version WD-300/350 KBA (previous name WD-250/350 KBA) saws on both spindles work in the same vertical plane, which makes it possible to use saws of smaller diameter and thickness, the advantage of this type of solution is a smaller cut size / thin kerf (reduction of material loss and energy consumption). It is available in two hights of the incoming window - 170 mm and 220 mm. Single arbor cirular saw WD 425 KBA is available in two widths of the incoming window - 400 mm and 600 mm.Multi rip saws of this type are used both in large industrial factories and in small-scale sawn-timber processing facilities.
Equipment for slab recovery:
Slab (side boards) recovery machines for processing slab into edged sawn timber are of great importance for wood processing industries, because thanks to their use, the yield of finished products increases, and accordingly profit. Slab recoveryequipment is used to produce edged boards from slabs in one pass, it works with minimal wood consumption, which contributes to a significant increase in the profitability of production.
Cross-cutting machines:
Cross-cut circular saw machines for wood processing, used for transverse cutting of boards or prisms of a given size. Cross-cutting machines are often used as part of technological lines for the production of blanks for Euro pallets (for pallet stock production) and in other. The distance between the saws in the cross-cut saw is adjusted using distance spacers. Crosscut saws differ in the number of installed circular saws and the width of processing.
Board edgers:
Double-sided edger with automatic width setting by Walter factory is used for longitudinal edging of unedged boards and slabs to edged lumber. The dimension of the processed material is obtained automatically on control pannel, thanks to which the circular saws can be set to the desired size. The machine is ideal for use both in small carpentry workshops and in larger sawmill plants. The OWD edger is equipped with laser pointers, which are used for visual control of the cutting line, and is also equipped with sliding movable saws.
